New York has some fascinating trails to travel. Today, I went with a friend to check out Verkeerder Kills Falls in Cragsmoor, NY. Being only 30 minutes away, it made a nice destination for a day-hike. In addition to the Verkeerder Kills Falls, we also went to Sam’s Point lookout, which was a 10 minute detour from the hiking trail.
We arrived around 10:30AM and got hiking. We equipped crampons to get better grips on the snow/ice.
The trail had some great scenery before reaching the highest points

At one point we took a small detour to see the Sam’s Point lookout. The view was gorgeous, especially with clear skies.

We eventually approached woods and a small stream
The stream led to what could only be the Verkeerder Kills Falls
We had to backtrack a bit before getting to the view of the falls
