Smartphones are probably going to lose that headphone port within the next 5 years. With that in mind, let’s check out a pair of iClever Boostrun Bluetooth Earbuds that I was asked to review.
What’s in the Box
In the box you get the following items:
- Rubber mounts (large amount!)
- USB Charging Cable
- Instruction Manual
At first glance, the earbuds look very high quality. Just analyzing the build structure and feeling them in your hand shows that a lot of time and effort went into creating this product.
These headphones sound great! They have some very deep bass and deliver a rich sound while in your ear. If i had to describe the experience of wearing them, it’s as if the inserts were just too shallow to stick in your ear, but the rest of the earbud does that job. This is actually really cool as you won’t feel pain from wearing these for a while. Combined with the vast number of rubber attachments (seen below), these headphones will fit just about any ear.
As you can see, there are a lot of different ear plugs. I stayed with the original ones on the earbuds, but you should try them all to find the right comfort level.
These headphones did a great job while running as well. No matter how hard the bounce or impact, they wouldn’t fall out. There was one moment when I shook my head and one partially fell out, but a quick tap with my finger popped it right back into place. I experienced no other issues after that. Not bad for such a small earbud piece!
Phone calls worked just fine on these. I may actually start using these for conversations while I lie in bed, as they provide a great convenience for talking to people.
One other thing I loved about these earbuds was that the controls are on the cable as opposed to the earbud piece. This allowed me to change the song or adjust settings from the button without getting that “click” sound inside of my head. For some, this is very important.
Charging was also very easy. For someone without extending fingernails, it was still pretty easy to pry out the charging cover. Speaking of charging, battery life lasted about 8 hours before dying. That’s pretty impressive for such a small earbud set!
Overall, these headphones are great for being so small and compact. If you need something for use beyond basic running, consider a more supporting model (such as this one). Aside from that particular use, you can’t go wrong with these.
