About Me

IMG_201408044392-300x300.jpgMy name is Brian Fediuk. I have been teaching high school computer science since 2011. I attended SUNY New Paltz for my undergraduate degree and NYIT for my master’s degree. Teaching is my passion and I love everything about it.

In my spare time I teach myself programming, make websites, immerse myself in geek culture, and independently research mathematics. I also do freelance web design, recover corrupted data, and fix computers on the side. I constantly travel and enjoy every minute of it. Aside from that, I love to travel. I have recently taken an interest in rock climbing and hiking as well. New York and the surrounding areas have some beautiful scenery, and I am determined to see as much as I can.

For as long as I can remember, I have been obsessed with computers and the capabilities they have. My first memory of using a computer is with Windows 3.1 on an old computer given to me by my uncle. I spent hours playing with the system and trying to make sense of it at 6 years old. Later, when we got our first Windows 95 machine, I was completely hooked. It was not until I had dial-up internet that I truly found passion in technology and became obsessed with it.

I bought my motorcycle in April of 2012. It was a complete impulse buy and I’m glad I went through with it. I have been obsessed with the culture of owning a bike and have been teaching myself how to repair and maintain it. Since owning a bike, I’ve been riding as often as possible, taking trips longer and longer each time. In 2014 I completed a cross country trip to California and back, where I camped most of the way. I took the trip alone and met some great people along the way. You can read more about it in my blog.
