One of the most annoying aspects of electronics is that you often need batteries for common things like alarm clocks or tv remotes. Tsumbay, an electronics merchant, is offering a digital alarm clock that has a built-in rechargeable battery. What makes this nice is that it uses a common USB port to charge it.
The video does the best justice to this product, but I also wanted to talk about some general points about the alarm clock.
The alarm clock has a nice sleek look. It is very reminiscent of Apple products where simplicity and "cleanness" is emphasized. No extra buttons, no confusing features, and no ugly features. The clock is simple, efficient, and just works.
The only complaint I had about this product is the emphasis on an ON/OFF switch. On this alarm clock, you can turn it off entirely, which is awesome! Only issue is that it resets all the settings on the clock, so you probably don't want to do that unless you are putting it into long storage with no intention to use it. Just don't turn it off. I re-packaged the clock back in the box while on, as I wanted to keep the date/time set.
The alarm clock has the following features:
- Large display of time
- 3 alarms
- Touch-based snooze panel
- USB charging
- Temperature sensor
- 1-5, 1-6 or 1-7 days of the week alarm clock settings
- High/Low settings for volume
Overall, this clock is great! If you need a reliable alarm clock and don't want to worry about batteries, this might be the clock for you.
